Out with the old, in with the "new" you!

It always feels strange "starting over" in the middle of winter. The time of year when most of the natural world is in hibernation. However, using this time to extensively think, and plot out the next steps in our evolution is a critical piece to efficiently and effectively reaching your goal. Whether the goals are personal, business, family, relationships, health, finances, or anything else you can think of; Now is the time to thoughtfully process what steps are needed to get your desired results and prepare yourself for transformation over this next year.

There is this widespread belief that some things are easier said than done. And in some cases this may be true, but certainly not all. There are times when a lack of preparation can and will be your biggest setback. It's not that you don't know what to do- you simply need to know where to start.

Brainstorming, vision boards, and the old-fashioned writing down a timeline are all great ways to get the ball rolling in the right direction. Write down ALL of your goals for the next year. For each goal, write down every step you will need to accomplish the aforementioned goal(s). Put all of your goals in order of importance, respectfully (This is where a vision board will come in handy), so you can physically see and track each goal as you accomplish them. From this point, it should get a bit easier to come up with a sensible timeline for each goal. Write down your timeline and set the important dates in your calendar along with reminders to keep you focused and on track.

Of course, these principles can and should be used for every aspect of your life. So you may have to make a few vision boards, but that's ok! Understanding that these are only the foundation, and that hard work combined with determination, focus, and grit will forever be unmatched; will help you get on the road to where you want to be. You want to change, right? You want to go to the next level... Prepare yourself to change. Prepare yourself for the next level. Take the proper steps necessary to achieve your goals. Set yourself up for success. Rome wasn't built in a day and nothing worth having comes easy.

A "new" you is not far-fetched and as asinine as it may sound to others, there is nothing wrong with reinventing yourself whenever you see fit. Even if that is every year. Just don't fuck yourself over when doing so by trying to take shortcuts. Think, plan, plot, and finally, execute. Create your own well-thought-out process and TRUST THE PROCESS. Welcome to the New Year. Cheers to a "New" you!
